As a maker of slow-cooked, handcrafted caramel, we have always maintained the best and highest standards when it comes to food handling and safety. The cleanliness of our kitchen has always been a top priority.
Because of COVID-19 (aka coronavirus) and how it is spread, we have added targeted procedures to mitigate potential exposure. In addition to our regular cleaning procedures, increased sanitization measures have been added. We have implemented twice daily sanitizing procedures using recommended cleaning products and conforming to the policies set forth by OSHA and the CDC. We have also held multiple educational meetings to discuss procedures that will protect our employees both at work and at home. We are all working together to maintain the health and well-being of our collective communities.
Additionally, we are practicing safe social distancing and have decided to close our factory store to in-person purchases. Our award-winning caramel will still be available for sale online via our website and from our many retailers in your communities.
We are taking these steps as a precautionary measure to protect the health and well-being of our customers, partners and employees. It is our intent to remain transparent and we will continue to keep you informed as we monitor this ever-changing situation closely.
