The McCrea’s Candies advent calendar is a collaboration with New Hampshire artist Cindy Hendrick. Her illustrations have captured the hearts of people all over the country. The collaboration was born at NEM where Kate first encountered Cindy’s company Woodfield Press (LLC).
After purchasing prints and notecards for years the two struck up a conversation about creating an advent calendar that captured the whimsy, magic, and anticipation of the holiday season. Each year we work together to create a theme that Cindy brings to life through her playful woodland scenes to delight both children and adults alike.
In the McCrea’s kitchen, we know that with time-tested methods, family secrets, fewer, wholesome ingredients, and a whole lot of TLC always yields more incredible flavor. All our caramels are cooked in traditional copper kettles with only the best ingredients, from the milk and butter to the Dutch-processed chocolate liqueur, fresh aromatics, and specialty salts.
